Unit Role[]

Shadowraths are utilized as assassins, who are heavily depended on taking out threatful enemies, most importantly spell casters such as Magikills, Merics, Marrowkais, Medusa and V.

Shadowrath Fixate

Unlike Swordwraths, they are more expensive in terms of gold and costs mana, their longer cooldown timer means they can't be spammed in numbers. Despite being able to quickly kill enemy units as a group, it's best to keep a few of them as too many of them may cause lack of space to build tankier units such as Speartons or Enslaved Giants. Having more health doesn't mean it determines their survivability to be longer.

Unit Origin[]

Based on Stick War 2 : Order Empire, the level, Silent War : Ninjas Declare War refers the Shadowraths as among one of the cunning and strongest swordwraths among the Swordwrath nation, extensively training themselves breeding into a new soldier who specializes in speed and assassinating enemies before they could realize it.

Ability info[]

As both the tech tree in Stick War 2 and the in-game match upgrade system in Stick Empires, each unit has their own unique ability or enchantment required to be research to unlock.

Among the Shadowraths, their ability is referred to as Shinobi, while their passive ability is referred to as Fixate.

"Cloaks becoming a non-targetable unit and inflicts massive damage and poison upon targeted unit."

"Increases damage as more hits are successfully landed during the period of time"

Shinobi Lvl 1 : Damage to light = 50

Damage to heavy = 100

Poison Damage = 4

Shinobi Lvl 2 : Damage to light = 100

Damage to heavy = 200

Poison Damage = 8

Fixate : Stacks up to 5

Strategy[]

When using Shadowraths, utilize their full potential of the Shinobi into ambushing and taking out key units who may pose a threat to your army. It is recommended to get Shinobi Lvl II as soon as possible once getting a Shadowrath out, as it does damage more than enough to take out Magikills, Merics and Marrowkais in a single hit. Its ability can also be used against heavy units to deplete their health quicker. Do note that Shinobi makes the Shadowrath untargetable to any attack excluding target spells such as Stone Face (Medusa), Reap (Marrowkai) and Possess (V). Poison or fire effects will not damage the unit as the ability is running. Time it wisely to eliminate high priority targets.

Try having a decent amount of Merics alongside it to consistently replenish their health when deep diving into enemy back lines and recycle Shinobi attacks repeatedly.

Counter[]

Similar to Swordwraths, Shadowraths are weak against range units, notably Archidons.

Taking down Shadowraths can be a hard task. Build tanks of your own to focus on keeping your units alive while focusing on evading the Shadowrath attacks.

Never underestimate the Shadowrath. Their damage can quickly and easily overpower any unit while having more health than any ordinary light unit, allowing them to withstand damage longer.

Trivia[]

- The Shadowrath is one of the first and only assassins introduced and exists in the Stick War franchise.

- They are the only units that consist of the same word "Wrath" alongside the Swordwraths.

- Shadowraths can still be affected by Marrowkai's reap if the unit fails to cloak before the enemy can target and cast the attack.

- They are among the fastest units in the game alongside Crawlers and Bombers.

- The Shadowrath unit may be a cameo itself referencing or inspired by Jason Whitman AKA Crazy Jay's (One of the creators of the Stick War franchise) representative original character, who similarly has the traits of a ninja and the unit's weapons. However, instead of a staff, it's a pistol.
